BMS MN obtained, in addition to ISO 9001, now also ISO 14001 certification
Good news! Because we consider the quality of our products very important, and because we want to make our production more and more sustainable, we made special efforts to comply also with the ISO 14001 standard that sets out the requirements for an environmental management system.
BMS Micro-Nutrients has an environmental permit covering an area of application that far exceeds the production of fertilizers only; this permit also allows, among other things, the storage of all kinds of goods (packaging, argon, ...), to have a lab, ...
Certain activities have recently been or will soon be the subject of increased European attention, which inevitably translates into new national regulations. To be one step ahead of this, we recently introduced an environmental management system that closely controls our air emissions.
The good experience that BMS MN had with the ISO 9001 quality control system encouraged us to implement the related ISO 14001 system in our company.
Working in accordance with the ISO 14001 standard helps us to better systematize and document the existing environmental efforts, so that we can adjust and improve our environmental policies accordingly. This enables us to inform and communicate very specifically, more easily and thus more transparently to all stakeholders involved, as well internal as external.
What does it stand for?
ISO 14001 is the internationally accepted standard for environmental management systems developed by the International Organization for Standardization. The environmental management system helps the organization to develop and guarantee the correct implementation of an environmental policy that is appropriate for the organization itself. Thanks to the environmental care system in agreement with the ISO 14001 standard, the environmental impact of the business operations can be controlled and, if possible, reduced.
